Veterans Day Breakfast Celebration
On Wednesday, November 6, 2024 the Stewartsville Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society held a Veterans Day Breakfast to honor our heroes. Under the leadership of Mrs. Evanowski, Mrs. Foschetti and Mrs. Vitale students recited poems, sang and accompanied our local veterans. Students engaged in great dialogue about the different branches, roles and responsibilities, and conflicts that our vets faced and overcame. Our music teacher Mrs. Meggiolaro led an amazing medley of patriotic songs by our students. Although the calendar only shows one day of appreciation for our veterans, GTSD honors our heroes throughout the full calendar year, collecting and donating to local organizations. GTSD thanks our active military forces along with our veterans for continually keeping our country safe.
